Growing up on a coastal mountain side in Japan, Shun Yamasaki knew a simple life of school, chores, and martial arts training. At age 16 her family moved to Canada and her life was thrown in upheaval. She had to become streetwise quickly dealing with the problems of everyday life in downtown Montreal. Fortunately she was reasonably fluent in English at her parents demands and Montreal is fairly forgiving of language barriors. At age 17 she rebelled against her parents and fled from home taking to the streets. Her long time obsession with knives kept her out of trouble, but she soon discovered she couldn't use them to produce food and shelter. After a week of being homeless she saw a small but simple sign on a light post looking for volunteers, but offering to pay well. She found the address and was introduced to Dr. Anton Sevarius. He offered her a chance to become stronger and faster and a nice sum of money if she was willing to take a single injection. Shy, but curious, and ultimately lacking options Shun agreed. She never did get the money. The transformation came quickly and when she was left alone for a moment she utilized the adrenelin rush she was experiencing to escape in a panic. Dazed and confused and again wandering the streets of Montreal she found a dark alley and hid there. The next day she awoke to discover she was no longer human and continuing to change. That night she fled into the ghetto not knowing what she was, or that there were others like her. She heard a swish behind her and turned in time to be greeted by a monstrous figure she would later learn was a gargoyle. Thus it was that Shun was introduced to the St Paul's Clan.
Shun is a snow leopard/bat/eel mutate. She is quite shy of her physical appearance, especially her wings and keeps them tucked behind her back at all times. Although a monster to humans she is somewhat attractive to other mutates despite her timid nature. Shun is very quick and agile and fond of playing with knives. She still has much to learn about her abilities especially her electric powers.
Gaining height in the transformation (now that she stands on her toes) Shun stands 5' 9" tall and weighs about 150lbs. She has coarse white and black fur and her markings are very similar to a snow leopard. Although shy, she finds a certain freedom in being furry and going without clothing. She is reasonably fluent in both English and Japanese and posesses moderate martial arts abilities - but she has not yet adapted these skills to her current form. Shun is eternally thankful to the Montreal Clan for rescuing her and feels it her duty to help protect them during daylight although she enjoys being more nocturnal herself. Finding similar company among the gargoyles she is becoming somewhat proud of her feline grace but disgusted by her bat like wings. She has a curious fascination with her own tail and moves it when speaking as a human would talk with their hands. Shun posesses little worldly knowledge and is still very child like in many ways.
