This is exactly what it sounds like: this is a board for you to make suggestions, give feedback, or offer criticism about the game, my DMing style, or the way OOC things are being handled around the table. I want you all to be 100% honest with me here. Tell me what you like, what you don't like, what works for you, or suggest an alternative. Tell me the things you want to see happen, tell me the things you never want me to do to you again and don't worry about hurting feelings. I would far sooner have any one of you, or all of you, say "You know, this thing you did last session wasn't cool, I really didn't enjoy that" as opposed from you walking away from any session of the game unhappy.
I'm a DM, but I can't do that without my players. You are my first priority. Not the session I have planned, not the larger story or goal you're working towards. That you're having fun is what matters. If you're not, I'm wasting everyone's time. If you have suggestions, I want to hear them! Feedback from you helps me to hone my craft, and I won't lie to you: I need it. I'm not the world's most experienced DM and it helps me to hear from you.
So post it. PM it. Email it. Hit me up on Facebook. But please, please, please, please, PLEASE give me feedback, and keep it coming. So far, most of you seem to find I've got a balance that works for all of you fairly well. Awesome. Tell me how to make it better, whether it's for your own character or someone else's. Let's keep the game working for everyone.

Hey,
On the whole, I've found your game very enjoyable so far. The situation and story are interesting, the characters we've met have separate, recognizable personalities, and the combat has been challenging and enjoyable.
I was a little disappointed that we had zero combat last session, but as I said in the thread over on the Rathfriland boards, that's an extremely minor concern since we were still having fun playing around, and there were plenty of challenges and interesting things going on (and it was an understandable chain of events that led up to missing the combat).
The only thing I can think of that I actively didn't like was our attempt to get in to see the Wyvern clan... it felt like we had auto-failed the challenge without any skill checks involved, just because Aaron accidentally said one wrong word. It seemed a little unfair to me that there was nothing we could do to turn the situation around no matter what we said or how good our skill checks were to communicate with them.
I don't think there's much of anything that needs to be changed in this campaign. Don't be too hard on yourself - inexperienced or not, you're doing great as a DM in my book.

Thanks so much for the feedback, James. I really do appreciate it, and promise to work in the future with the NPCs to make them a little less unweilding. Talon's a difficult one; he tends to be rather pig headed, but don't worry. JUst because one door closed doesn't mean another won't open for all of you. There are still chances you'll see the Wyvern Clan!

I honestly love the way Gargoyles is running so far! You have set up a believable world and roleplay your characters very well. It DOES suck that we couldn't get in the Wyvern clan, but you were staying in character. Talon wouldn't have budged! Also, the non-combat, for me, was a refreshing change of pace, especially since my character in this campaign isn't built for combat what-so-ever. That being said, there should be something for everybody to do, so I wouldn't avoid combat for 2 sessions in a row or anything, hehe. But if we had another night where it was light on the combat in the future, know that I wouldn't be dissapointed.
But yeah, overall, your style of dming is one I really enjoy as a player, so thus far, I wouldn't change anything. ^_^

The no-combat session was seriously just a fluke; I hope to never, ever have it happen again. Some session may be lighter on it because there will be more skill checks or problem solving needed, but I never intend to have another session quite like that again. Could it happen? Possibly! PC's are hard to predict. But I'll work harder to have some alternatives laid out.

I'm enjoying the chance to really roleplay solve problems and interact with npcs. The adventuring of the last session was a lot of fun and the trouble with Talon was realistic. My character is shy and designed for combat but there are still lots of things for her to do.
