Ludgate Hill, Saint Paul's Cathedral, North Tower, West Side, Central Plinth was a traditionalist. He didn't believe in this modern, newfangled way of thinking. "Names" were for people. For as long as he could remember, gargoyles were known by their locations... the more prestigious a location, the more powerful and respected was the gargoyle who guarded it. Ludgate Hill, Saint Paul's Cathedral, North Tower, West Side, Central Plinth was one of the most prominent locations in all of London, and Ludgate Hill, Saint Paul's Cathedral, North Tower, West Side, Central Plinth had stood guard there for over 600 years. Unlike most gargoyles, for much of his life he never awoke when the sun went down, except for very brief spells to ensure all was still well. The rest of the time, Ludgate Hill, Saint Paul's Cathedral, North Tower, West Side, Central Plinth remained in stone statis - which was why he had lived for so long.
But 3 years ago, Ludgate Hill, Saint Paul's Cathedral, North Tower, West Side, Central Plinth awoke after a statis of more than 30 years, to discover that his London home had drastically changed around him. The other gargoyles who inhabited Saint Paul's Cathedral had vanished, and humans were now everywhere. Overwhelmed and confused, Ludgate Hill, Saint Paul's Cathedral, North Tower, West Side, Central Plinth was forced to leave his perch of 620 years and seek out his own kind again. What he found was almost too much to bear. The modern gargoyles scoffed at his outmoded way of thinking, and steadfastly refused to call him by his name, instead referring to him only as "Ludgate."
Soon after his awakening, still having trouble coping with the modern world and its incessant noise, Ludgate Hill, Saint Paul's Cathedral, North Tower, West Side, Central Plinth heard from the clan leaders in London of trouble in Montreal, where a clan only a few hundred years younger than him had recently been awoken from a deep sleep of their own. Hoping that a long journey would give him the solitude and time to reflect that he craved, and with thoughts of gargoyles closer to his own way of thinking urging him on, Ludgate Hill, Saint Paul's Cathedral, North Tower, West Side, Central Plinth set off for the Western world that hadn't even been discovered yet in his youth.
His last thought before stowing himself away in the underbelly of the container ship that would take him to Halifax was, "They can call me Ludgate if they must, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be gracious about it." And then, once more, he slept...

Ludgate Hill, Saint Paul's Cathedral, North Tower, West Side, Central Plinth is a 1st level gargoyle on the path to becoming a barbarian. He is 6' 10", 480 pounds, with pure white eyes and short coal-black fur covering most of his body. Despite the modern trends of gargoyles to use tools and wear clothing or armor, "Ludgate" disdains the practice, preferring the natural feel and freedom of movement that comes from wearing nothing other than the loincloth that decorum requires. He refuses to use weapons of any kind, maintaining that if gargoyles were intended to do so, the makers wouldn't have given them claws.
His stats are as follows:
HP: 22 (thank you, shitty rolls)
STR: 21
DEX: 18
CON: 14
INT: 13
WIS: 8
CHA: 4
Saves: +3 Fort, +7 Reflex, +2 Will
Skills (with modifiers): Climb (9), Intimidate (7), Jump (9), Listen (5), Spot (5)
